Rules and Regulations

To ensure a safe and pleasant environment in Kvalvåg Harbor, we have prepared the following rules for all members and guests.

Traffic in the Harbor
  • Max speed in the harbor area is 3 knots.
  • Show consideration for other boats and swimmers.
  • Avoid unnecessary driving and wake.
Safety and Mooring
  • Boats shall be properly moored with snubbers.
  • The owner is responsible for the boat being in seaworthy condition.
  • Pumping of oily water is strictly prohibited.

General Provisions

1. Members' Responsibility

Each member is responsible for their boat and equipment. The member is obliged to stay informed about the association's statutes and applicable instructions. Any damage to the facility shall be reported to the board as soon as possible.

2. Order and Hygiene

The harbor area shall be kept tidy. Waste shall be brought home or disposed of in designated containers. It is not allowed to leave equipment, fishing gear, or similar on the piers so that it hinders free movement.

3. Power and Water

Use of power on the piers is limited to battery charging and simple maintenance. Heaters and other power-hungry appliances shall not be left on without supervision or by agreement. Water hoses shall be rolled up after use.

4. Guest Berths

Guests shall use designated spaces. The guest fee shall be paid voluntarily upon arrival via Vipps. Guests are obliged to follow the harbor's rules just like members.

5. Parking

Parking shall occur in designated spaces. Show consideration so that emergency vehicles and other users can get through.

Violation of the rules may lead to a warning or, in serious cases, exclusion from the association.
Adopted by the board of Kvalvåg Harbor Society.
